The MAC Apnea 9 dive knife is a high quality stainless steel Italian made knife designed for durability and a long-lasting sharp edge.
The blade has a hardness of 55-56HRC - referring to Rockwell's Hardness Scale - which is in the high range for knives, meaning it will keep its edge for longer than typical cheaper knives.
The best feature of the knife is the shaft remover set into the middle of the blade. If your shaft has been fired into a cave and/or reef and it's jammed, you can thread the shaft through this hole and use the knife to twist and pull the shaft out much easier.
At 4mm thick it's quite slimline which is handy when you're diving in and around caves and reef i.e. it won't catch very easily as it sits right up against your arm or leg.
At 85g it's nice and light and won't feel like it's weighing you down at all, but also feels sturdy and durable as it is.
The 7cm blade on the MAC Apnea 9 knife is long enough to brain your fish and cut whatever you need to underwater without being overly big and awkward to handle.
The knife comes with a slimline hard plastic sheath and rubber straps.
